The Warehouse & Delivery Associate’s delivers GWT products by vehicle to our “Demand Delivery” clients while adhering to all safety regulations. The Warehouse & Delivery Associate provides quality customer service and collaborates with fellow staff to maintain a safe, clean and organized warehouse.

What you’ll do:

Delivery of Products

  • Review orders and confirm quantities on hand as well as future needs
  • Set delivery route and schedule appointments as required by customers
  • Perform inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of truck unit before, during and after trips
  • Load and unload product from the truck unit and place in the required inventory location
  • Follow procedures as outlined in the work order before delivery and report any discrepancies to the Operations Manager
  • Drive to customer sites to deliver required products and chemicals
  • Deliver products and chemicals to customer sites through loading dock into mechanical rooms and spaces as defined by client, ensure products and chemicals reach customer preferred location at each site
  • Unload product and follow customers procedures via preferred delivery location
  • Communicate with customer contact and internal stakeholders during delivery
  • Observe and comply with rules and regulations of the DOT before, during and after delivery.
  • Complete documentation as required by internal/regulatory requirements

Material Handling & Chemical Safety

  • Decant/transfer/pour chemical into containers as specified in related procedures
  • Quarantine suspect chemical material and report to Operations Manager
  • Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures
  • Follow WHMIS, SDS and all other safety training requirements and procedures
  • Follow all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materials (Transfer of Dangerous Goods regulations)
  • Clean and store safety equipment for re-use, notify Operations Manager of additional safety needs at all times
  • Comply with all safety requirements within the company

Warehouse Duties

Preventative Maintenance

  • Verify calibration/inspection on all devices used and report any concerns to the Operations Manager
  • Follow the Preventative Maintenance Schedule
  • Ensure relevant documents and checklists are completed as scheduled

Inventory Management

  • Decant/transfer/pour chemical from larger containers into smaller containers for use in smaller amounts at client sites
  • Report to Demand Delivery Supervisor to ensure adequate Demand Delivery chemical inventory in the plant
  • Report adequate inventory spare parts that pertain to Demand Delivery
  • Maintain safe, tidy and efficient storage of materials in the plant on racking and in other storage areas
  • Communicate regularly within own department, Purchasing and any other department on issues surrounding inventory control and maintaining accurate Datacor records.

Housekeeping

  • Ensure supplies are distributed as required throughout the facility
  • Neatly store supplies, empty containers and inform purchasing when levels require re-ordering

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and schedule services calls
  • Project and job management, securing all needed parts for each project/site/installation and assembly of jobs ahead of installation

  • Client, customer relationship management and all client scheduling
  • Follow up post job or project completion including client satisfaction
  • Job site support including physical installation support
  • Manage all service technicians and support the team via project related phone calls and other communications
  • Coordinate all efforts between the equipment field team and the GWT office team, including AR, AP, logistics, and invoicing.
  • Work with equipment sales team and coordinate between sales proposals, job installations and field team
  • Serve as liaison between equipment and chemical sales teams
  • Ensure adherence to document retention and confidentiality policies. Identify and address any gaps in audit or financial risks to the organization.

What we’re looking for:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 years of RO, water softener and DI experience required
  • Experience managing at least 3-5 direct reports

The Manager position involves substantial driving requirements to and from client sites. Some overnight travel may be required from time to time. The amount of overnight travel will vary based on geography covered and maturity of the local market.

Physical Requirements: This position can be physically demanding. This includes requirement to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis, and the Manager is required to move around industrial environments, carrying a portable test kit, computer, and other tools. The representative will need to be able to carry products (chemical pails, softener salt) up to 50 lbs.
