Global Water Technology, Inc. (GWT) is proud to announce that one of our team members, Brian Burgess, has been certified by the Association of Water Technologists as a Certified Water Technologist (CWT). This certification further validates Brian’s qualifications for developing sustainable and proactive solutions for our client’s water treatment needs.

CWTs have the expertise, experience, and knowledge to provide the highest standards of service to and oversight of boilers and chillers. They pride themselves on making facilities as efficient as possible using the latest water treatment technology and techniques to save energy.

Individuals with the CWT designation have personally committed themselves to excellence in the water treatment industry. They are:

  • Experts with proven knowledge. Each CWT has passed a rigorous exam that covers all aspects of water treatment technology, and they must recertify every five years to maintain the credential.
  • Experienced and reputable. Every CWT has been employed as a water treatment professional for a minimum of five years. And, they have all passed a thorough peer-review process that includes references from colleagues and clients.
  • Ethical and responsible. Each CWT has signed a 13-part Declaration of Ethics. Violations result in disciplinary action, including possible revocation of their certification status.

GWT seeks to develop lifelong water treatment professionals. Our customized training program includes homework, classroom time, field training, and educational opportunities through the Association of Water Technologies (AWT). After enough experience and training, GWT sponsors and encourages team members to become Certified Water Technologists through AWT.
