Matt Jensen, CWT

Senior Vice President

Matthew serves as Senior Vice President for Global Water Technology, Inc (GWT). In this role, Matthew is responsible for leading and guiding the operational field strategy in line with the company’s growth and service objectives. In this capacity, Matthew is responsible for GWT’s Central Water and Energy Services, Water Safety, Industrial, Support Services, and Pre-Treatment and Water Filtration Divisions.

Matthew started his career at GWT as Vice President, Technology and Innovation, where he identified new and innovative technologies for application within existing and future clients. He was promoted to Vice President, Great Lakes Region where he grew, developed, inspired, and lead a successful team of water treatment professionals in Wisconsin and Michigan.

In 2003, Matthew graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, majoring in analytical chemistry and minoring in American history. During his final summer in college, he took the opportunity to intern with a national water treatment company, where his interest in the industry began. For a brief period with a major commodity chemical dealer, he specialized in the sale of chemicals for the manufacturing, food/beverage, and paints/coatings markets. In 2005, he found his way back to the Water Treatment Industry, then finding his home at GWT in July of 2020.

Since 2014, Matthew has been an active and influential member of the Association of Water Technologies (AWT), a premier organization dedicated to advancing water treatment professionals and promoting excellence in water treatment technology and management practices. His dedication and expertise have been recognized through his service in several key positions within the association, culminating with his election as President in 2022. Matthew earned his Certified Water Technologist (CWT) designation in April 2009, and currently serves the Association as Education Committee Co-Chair.
