Ethylene vs. Propylene:

When choosing between the two main types of glycol you must consider your local discharge limitations and the possibility of cross system contamination. In food processing, a food grade propylene glycol may be required. In an older facility, a system may be charged with ethylene glycol from years past.Propylene Glycol is ideal for applications in which there is the possibility of incidental contact with drinking water.In some areas, propylene glycol is required instead of ethylene. Discharge limitations may require PG use.


Inhibited vs. Uninhibited:

Organic and inorganic inhibitors are used for corrosion protection. These inhibitors will effectively protect your industrial equipment whether constructed of single or mixed alloys.Inhibitors, when added in the prescribed amount will protect brass, copper, copper alloys, steel, cast iron, and aluminum.Industrial corrosion control inhibitors included have been specifically formulated to extend the service life of the coolant.Can receive a higher level of reserve alkalinity, superior performance, and less maintenance requirements through reinhibiting.
